2015: A Year of Firsts
First, a thank you. Thank you to all of our awesome clients, couples, family, friends, supporters, fellow vendors, and followers who made 2015 nothing short of awesome. We could not do what we do without you, and we wouldn’t love what we do without you. So thank you for letting us be a part of your business, a part of your big day, and a part of your Facebook News Feed.
Second, holy firsts Batman. In 2015 we decided that we wanted to grow Cinebard Films from an “if only” to a “when.” Instead of dreaming and wishing, we decided to take action and just start filming. We said yes to new things, and we are so glad that we did. In essence, 2015 was a year of “firsts” for Cinebard Films.
Our First Official Wedding Season
There’s no way around it. Love stories are timeless, and we love telling them. In 2015 we had our first official wedding season. We learned about polka, saw the most amazing cookie tables, and, most importantly, were a part of a most special day full of love, family, and friends. I still love seeing the groom’s face as he waits for his bride at the front of the aisle, and we are so honored that we were a part of so many beautiful wedding days this year. After a truly gorgeous winter wedding in January, we can’t wait to start up our wedding season again in April. Until then, enjoy some polka!
Our First Promotional Video (and then some more)
In 2014 we debuted in the “commercial” world with a super fun Kickstarter for the always entertaining Professor Buzzkill. In 2015, we expanded our commercial offerings and made our first promotional videos. And let me tell you, there is nothing cooler than getting behind the scenes with some of Pittsburgh’s fantastic entrepreneurs. We learned about aerial dance, custom wedding music, music instruction, and delicious, hot, mobile woodfire pizza.
Our First Married 48 Hour Horror Film Project
There’s only one way to describe the brainchild of our 2015 48 Hour Horror Film Project Team: weird. But so much fun to create. Two weeks after we got married, we put off the honeymoon for some movie making magic with our friends. We crawled around our basement, ate a lot of donuts (the required prop), and probably scared our neighbors with the Scream King’s, well, screams for help. If you have the stomach for some creepy, weird horror, this’ll scratch that itch. But for everyone else, you’ve been warned.
2016: I’ll second that
2015 was an amazing year of firsts and growth for Cinebard Films, and for Josh and I, and we loved every minute of it. So for 2016, we want to do even more. We have a larger wedding season this year, and are so excited to be able to tell so many unique love stories. We have some really unique projects up our sleeves, that we cannot wait to unveil, and we cannot wait to see what else 2016 brings. After all, the year is young, and we’re ready for more awesome.
As always, we’re here to tell your story, with character.
